Perla-Inez R. Maulino, M.D., F.A.A.P.
"Since 1997, I have been fulfilling my dream of taking care of children as a pediatrician in the Sacramento area. My philosophy is to work with parents and caregivers as a team to raise children in a healthy, safe, and caring environment. I also love to teach (got it from my mom who was a school teacher) which helps me in providing families practice advice they can relate to."
"My “work “ starts at our home, raising five boys along with my husband. Each day is its own unique experience in our household. It is from these experiences that I acquire a better perspective of the personal and the professional, which brings true satisfaction to my spirit.”
Dr. Maulino completed premedical undergraduate studies at the University of California Davis (1984), graduated Cum Laude from the University of Santo Tomas Faculty of Medicine & Surgery (1990) and trained at the Children’s Hospital of Oklahoma, Oklahoma City in General Pediatrics (1996). She is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and currently on the active senior medical staff at Methodist Hospital, Mercy General Hospital, and Sutter Memorial Hospital; in Sacramento. She is the Medical Director of Sacramento Valley Pediatric since 2004.
Maria Nelisa N. Tan, M.D., F.A.A.P.
"Having grown up with a doctor in the family has certainly made a big impact on my life. My aunt who often took care of me inspired me to follow in her footsteps and dedicate my life towards helping patients in their journey towards healthy and happy life.
It is definitely a plus that I get to be surrounded by children in my line of work. As a pediatrician, it gives me great joy to be able to provide the best care and assistance to children and their parents. It is truly the best feeling in the world and I would not trade it for anything else."
Dr. Maria Tan completed her medical degree at Far Eastern University in the Philippines. She then trained for her pediatric residency at Metropolitan Hospital Center/ New York Medical College in Manhattan. She is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.

Alfonso A. Quant, P.A.
"Born and raised in Nicaragua, I became fascinated with Science at an early age. As a young college student, that fascination and exposure to social conditions in my native country paved the way to a vocation I dreamed of: a career in medicine. After completing medical school, the unstable political climate in Nicaragua forced me to leave and travel to the United States. The next few years were very difficult in many ways; I had to learn English while working odd jobs to support myself and my family. Later on, I was accepted to the U.C. Davis School of Medicine – FNP/PA Program, where I graduated in early 1989.""In practicing, I give paramount importance to listening carefully to my patients and their immediate family members, counseling them, and taking the time to care for their needs. I always encourage them to become active participants in staying well.”
Alfonso Quant graduated from the University of California, Davis, School of Medicine – FNP/PA Program, where he also served as a faculty member. He has been practicing in the Sacramento area for over twenty years. He holds a Medical Doctor degree in his native country, Nicaragua.
Lourdes Bravo Navea, P.A.
"My love and passion in pediatric care started after the birth of my first and only child in 1990. Caring and raising my son taught me a great deal to understand the “magic of children.” Every child is a miracle and deserves only the best of love and care at all times."
"For over 21 years, I have been providing care for the children in the Sacramento and Elk Grove community and have proven my expertise, competence, and dependability in many capacities. I have been with Sacramento Valley Pediatric Medical Group since it opened in 1997. As we continue to grow, we the medical providers and staff promise to continue to provide superior care our patients have come to expect.”
Mrs. Navea graduated from the University of California, Davis, School of Medicine, FNP/PA Program in 1992. She spent over ten years of progressive clinical experience in General Medicine and Obstetrics and Gynecology in the Philippines and in Saudi Arabia, prior to settling in the United States in 1988.
